One Wish

If I was granted the ability to make one wish, what I would wish for would shock many people. I would wish for all CF patients around the world to be able to be within close proximity of each other without the dangers of fatally sharing each other's bugs and viruses.

A Bittersweet Reality

I could say I would wish for a cure for CF, but without this unforgiving disease, I would have never met some of the coolest people around the world! The feeling is very bittersweet. To make it easier to put in perspective; Imagine meeting someone who has lived through the same exact experiences as you but, you can never be in the same room as them. You have a best friend who you can’t ever interact with in a close social or physical manner.

CF BFFs

My best friend is Sarah. I love her more than anyone can possibly understand. It hurts me all the time knowing that we cannot be within each other's vicinity at any given point in our lives. Some might say “You can always FaceTime or video chat each other!”. That may be true, but video calling removes the physical and emotional feelings from talking to someone. That’s the most important part of communication, the emotions both our voices and bodies give off.

That’s what I would do with one wish.
