Cystic Fibrosis life

My name is Megan and I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when I was 1 year and 1 month old. I was diagnosed with CF-related diabetes when I was 10. I’ve been pretty lucky with my health so far. I’ve never been hospitalized but I have had pseudomonas 3 times.

Telling others about CF is liberating

I have always struggled with opening up to others about me having CF. I used to be ashamed of having cystic fibrosis and tried to hide it. When I saw Five Feet Apart it inspired me to share my story. I finally got the courage to share my CF story on my social media platforms. It felt so good to let that out. I was very surprised at the positive response I got from others.
