Seeking perspectives on genetic engineering and cystic fibrosis

I’m a second-year college student working on a research project (EPQ) about public perceptions and ethical concerns surrounding genetic engineering. My current focus is on whether the UK’s ban on genetically edited embryos reflects public opinion or should be reconsidered.

I’d really appreciate hearing from those with personal experience of genetic conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, to gain your perspectives on the ethical aspects of genetic engineering. If anyone would like to chat or even call to speak on this, your input would be greatly appreciated.
