2 different results from one sweat test

One sweat sample, two results with 35 point difference- I am waiting to hear from the doc but got 2 different lab results from a sweat test earlier today with a difference of 35 points. One says "Conductivity Sweat Chloride" and the other says "Chloride, Sweat" so perhaps they are tested different ways, but I doubt I'll hear anything over the weekend so I figured I'd ask if 2 results from one test is typical and if so which is more likely accurate.

Thanks

  1. Hello,
I hope you were able to connect with your doctor. I did find this explanation to your question:
Mean sweat conductivity test results are ~15–20 mmol/L higher than sweat Cl− measurement. (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fped.2021.649904/full).

Thinking about you during this time! Warmly, Janeil (cystic-fibrosis.com Team Member)
