Disruptive Behavior

11 year old granddaughter has over the course of the last year developed narcissistic and disruptive behavior. In some cases hurting others in her class
Discipline is not helping curb this behavior
Might this be her way of pushing back or rebelling against her disease? Any help provided is greatly appreciated

  1. Sounds horrible. I understand what you mean by a narcissist behavior as many of my family seems to have developed it themselves(non cf). But to answer your question, teenagers do rebell, and don't want to be constantly reminded to do medicine or eat or take treatments. But if she is taking trikafta I heard some cf adults saying that it has increased their bad mood and some parents saying it increased the bad mood in their child(ren). But have you talked to her pediatrician about this?

    1. really? It does? I never heard of that. Interesting.

    2. yes, I believe they attributed it to hormone changes and adrenaline changes, some also reported it was something that caused one to become depressed or have nightmares.
