pallitive care

As my lung disease has advanced. i was told to seek out pallitive care. which means that my doctors have given up on me . I am not ready to just give up. I have asked about lung transplantation only to be denied due to my age, heart issues and bacterial colonization. I am not ready to die. I was told that pallitive care does not mean that you are dying. but why is this what they tell you to do when you are dying. I reject that idea

  1. , I don't blame you for not wanting to give up! You have more life to live. I'm including an article we have on our site about how palliative care for people with CF is different than other conditions. For example, people with CF can recover and get better and then get off of palliative care. Here's the article in case you're interested (https://cystic-fibrosis.com/end-of-life-care). If you haven't already, I would have an honest conversation with your doctor about how you want to do everything you can to continue living your life. I'll be thinking of you! Sending lots of love.
